Alright guys, don’t make fun of me…..I haven’t written a poem probably since high school but we’re trying new (old?) things here at the Create or Die Project, right?!

 

scotland

 

if you

walk along this road

with me

i’ll point out all the moments

 

you see

the photograph

smiling faces

arms around one another

the friends coming home from

the party.

heavy coats

snow on the ground

 

i see

the bench just behind

us in

that same park.

i remember

the conversation

i had

on that bench.

cool sunshine on my face

petals falling soft

 

how

i laughed

you smiled

we hugged

and knew

you and i

were going to know

each other

a long time.

 

funny how

we’re in the same place

but every step

i take

is backwards somehow

to watch myself

 

the mist is cool

and creepy but

i love it.

i wonder

what happens next.
