FEB 19 – Rainy Circus gets Funkay

Hellooooo

I didn’t want to be boring and write something again. But here it was, nearing my deadline and I didn’t know what to do! Also, I had writer’s block.

So I composed something! Yep, I composed the melody for this little ditty and in the process, learned how to use GarageBand! Maybe next time I’ll add lyrics or make the song even longer; pretty happy with it considering

(a) I’ve never used the program before

(b) I’ve never really composed anything before.

(c) As I don’t have access to a piano or any sort of instrument, I composed the melody using literally the keyboard to my MacBook Pro lol.

Exciting doing new stuff!

February 18 – When Everything Stopped Working

Hey guys!

So, I promised myself that this would not be a late night… but whoops!  Originally, I was planning to write a nice little song today, but as I started to record I soon discovered that, alas!, both my video camera and my recording software were experiencing some technical issues!  For a while I was afraid I wouldn’t be creating anything today all all… BUT!  I instead created a [late night] puppet show!  Enjoy!  Special thanks to Kristie for helping me out (late night style) with these puppets!  Enjoy!

In other news, thanks everyone for watching.

Some of you have expressed some interest in participating in the Create Or Die Project (which is so awesome I can’t even believe it!)  If you are interested, keep your ears and eyes open… we totally want to help you get involved!  In the meantime, keep creating!

Hi guyyyys!!!

Today, I present to you a short comic!  I apologize for the extreme lateness of this entry, but at least it’s done.  I had this idea on the train this morning… but now it’s so late that I can’t tell if it even makes sense anymore!  Let’s hope!

Flying Comic

Thanks for checking us out, and have a great day! I am going to bed now, see you tomorrow!

February 12 – The Fishing Line

Wow!

I can’t believe that this is only my second entry in The Create Or Die Project!  Caroline, great work with your script yesterday, I look forward to more from your story!  As for me, today I also did some writing!  Granted, I waited until pretty much the last possible minute to write this, but I’m happy with how it turned out.  This is a short story/scene that I’ve written, which I’ve entitled “The Fishing Line”.  My goal was to find a way to combine character and setting in an interesting way.  Please enjoy, and thanks to all of you guys reading and watching!

Here we go:

The Fishing Line

by Chris Brousseau

“How much longer will we stay out here?”

I tried to catch myself, but it was too late.  I was whining, although I really didn’t mean to.  I had intended to sound sincere, but, instead, I was complaining.

My father didn’t immediately answer, but his large brown eyes flicked over towards me.  I felt a great pressure and my head fell forward, my eyes staring blankly at the wooden floor beneath my feet.

“Dean…”

I tensed my neck and slowly lifted my head, careful not to meet my father’s glance. Instead, I looked past him, beyond the edge of the boat and onto the glassy water below.
